184th ESC Change of Command on 27 July | News

The 184th Sustainment Command (Expeditionary), based in Laurel, will conduct a change of command ceremony on July 27 at 10 a.m. at the Camp Shelby Joint Forces Training Center parade field.
Brig. Gen. Philip R. Fisher will relinquish command of the 184th SC(E) to Col. Janson D. Boyles. Boyles, of Jackson, assumes responsibility after serving as the Director of the Joint Staff, Joint Force Headquarters, Mississippi National Guard. The event will also serve as a retirement ceremony for Fisher. The Clinton native will end his military career after 36 years in the Mississippi National Guard and the United States Marine Corps.
The 184th SC(E)'s mission is to command subordinate sustainment brigades that provide supply, maintenance, transportation, field service and other logistical support to forward operational units. During the command's 2010-11 Afghanistan deployment, they led the Joint Sustainment Command which included more than 43,000 Soldiers, Sailors, Airmen, Marines and civilians. The unit ensured the delivery of 413.3 million gallons of fuel, 25.9 million pounds of ammunition, 42.7 million pounds of mail, and more than 109.5 million meals.
