Camp Shelby hosts CACTF and Shoot House Grand Opening | Events

Camp Shelby Joint Forces Training Center is set to host a grand opening ribbon cutting event for the Combined Arms Collective Training Facility and the Fully Automated Live Fire Shoot House here at Camp Shelby on Jan. 24.
The $10.5 million CACTF is the Army’s latest high tech solution for realistic, fast-paced urban operations training, and features 35 buildings on 14 acres equipped with 193 cameras, 30 Human Urban Terrain targets, 15 Stationary Infantry Targets and On-Screen ‘After-Action Review’ capabilities.
The fully automated Live-Fire Shoot House is a $3 million facility with 2,070 square feet of dedicated realistic training capability equipped with 16 cameras and 11 targets that provide real-world environmental training and immediate feedback for urban maneuver operations. The Shoot House features On-Screen ‘After-Action Review’ capability with more than 3.5 hours of recording capacity.
These new facilities add great flexibility to an already impressive array of training areas that will enable deploying Soldiers, Sailors, Airmen, Marines, Special Operations Forces and Law Enforcement units to achieve and maintain a high state of mission readiness in a fast-paced, realistic combat environment.
