USM hosts Military Appreciation Day | Community Spirit

The University of Southern Mississippi and local Hattiesburg businesses have teamed up to celebrate Soldiers and their Families during a Military Appreciation football game Nov. 17, at “The Rock” in Hattiesburg as the Golden Eagles face the University of Texas at El Paso, Miners.

Representatives from USM along with the USM Cheerleaders and Seymour the Golden Eagle will hand deliver football tickets Nov. 15, at 10 a.m. at Camp Shelby for the upcoming Soldier appreciation game at USM.

Camp Shelby’s morale, welfare and recreation (MWR) team will assist the VIPs with the distribution of tickets to Soldiers. VIPs and media will be escorted to the training site where contributors, supporters, USM cheerleaders and USM mascot will be presenting tickets to the Soldiers to honor them and say ‘Thank you’ for their service and sacrifice to our city, state and country.
